Just had the wierdest interview ever today with a consultancy that I've never heard of for a contract job with one of the major investment banks. The first part of the interview was pretty standard but then it got bloody strange...

Poll: weird?

Ex Indian Navy

So had a fairly standard interview with a juniorish manager going through my CV. Then he brought me upstairs to meet the MD who was old Indian guy, one of the types who more English than the English. Had a discussion about the company, the credit crunch. He then mentioned he was in the Indian Navy flying Sea Harriers and I said "Was that off the Viraat, ex HMS Hermes". He was very impressed with that, I can tell you :) and they phoned back a couple of hours after that for interview with the client.

Knew all that Military History would come in useful one day...

The Indian Navy is pretty much like the Royal Navy by jump the ladder (2.00 / 0) #2 Thu Jul 17, 2008 at 10:04:34 AM EST

Between old friends? Anyway the Indians are pretty good at massacring their own people (and Pakistanis).

I think I'll keep it to safer subjects like the connection between arayans, the swastika, hinduism and national socialism.
