Not that anyone actually recovers from the loss of the last parental figure.


But it's important to be who you are, feel what you're feeling, cry when you need to. Or just sit in a hot bath and stare at nothing. Keeping busy can be good, or it can be overwhelming, or both at once. And the whole being away from the desk for weeks thing was really not a vacation, but more like an illness.
